Abstract: this paper, we analyze in detail the main tasks that the resource broker has to tackle [2], like resource discovery and selection, job scheduling, job monitoring and migration, etc., and we examine different approaches to perform these tasks. Finally, we consider the problem of dynamic resource brokering in an economic grid environment, and we propose new re-scheduling policies for job migration under cost constraints. 2 Resource broker tasks Resource discovery. The first task of the scheduler ... (Update)
