Abstract: Communication Types (ACT) does provide a way to tackle the history
sensitive anomaly in a modular fashion, it is still based on ad-hoc coding. Every instance of
the anomaly requires the programmer to write a specific ACT to solve it. The problem is thus
moved from the object to the ACT rather than solved. Similar results were obtained using the
synchronization patterns [17] and synchronization rings [12] methodologies. (Update)
