Abstract: Eugene Ehrhart has shown that the number of integer points in a parameterized rational polytope is a particular polynomial whose coe#cients are periodic numbers. In this research report, we propose a study of these mathematical objects, which depend periodically on parameters, and a generalisation to a class of mathematical objects: the periodics.
