Abstract:
Abstract- This paper describes a Simple Integrated Media Access (SIMA) [1] implementation architecture. The core functions of the SIMA access node are implemented on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chips. Software versions of the same functions were also programmed in order to compare the hardware performance. SIMA introduces Quality of Service (QoS) in IP networks by using the IPv4 TOS field as priority and real-time indication field. 1.
