Abstract: In this report, the Multiresolution Fourier Transform (MFT) is utilised as an approach to the segmentation of images based on the analysis of local properties in the spatial frequency domain. Six major steps are adopted to implement the segmentation of images in this work. Firstly, The Laplacian Pyramid method is used as the filter to create the high-pass filtered image.
