Abstract: Accessing data services through digital cellular networks is becoming something common. Such networks are based on wireless technologies, which were ignored when the classic communication protocols were designed. As many authors have noted, the TCP transport protocol shows an inefficient behavior when running over wireless links. Several solutions have been proposed to correct this problem. We propose a simple solution based on the indirect model of communication and the substitution of TCP.... (Update)
