Abstract: sequently, using statistics from the characterization. In Chapter 3, we present a state-based PDES synchronization algorithm that characterizes the timestamps of arriving messages as a sequence of random variables by detecting points at which the distribution of timestamps change using the mathematical theory of changepoint detection. As a result, we are able to use online percentile statistics about the timestamps of arriving messages to prevent rollbacks and increase the e#ciency of the PDES. ... (Update)
