Abstract: In this paper we present a novel fragile watermarking scheme for the tamper-proofing of multimedia signals. Unlike previously proposed techniques, the novel approach provides spatial and frequency domain information on how the signal is modified. We call such a technique a telltale tamper-proofing method. Our design embeds a fragile watermark in the discrete wavelet domain of the signal by quantizing the corresponding coefficients with user-specified keys. Tamper detection is possible in the... ...has been tampered with. Other techniques for detection of tamper in digital imagery based on fragile watermarks have been introduced in [10 13]. In this paper, we describe a new anti tampering technique that can be used to retrieve the original content rather than just...
...In this paper we will describe how VW2D can act as a semi fragile watermark. Several other fragile watermarks have been developed in [9,10,11]. 4 EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE We have investigated how BBHF and VW2D perform as fragile watermarks. Two original 512 x 512 grayscale images...
