Abstract: .<F3.733e+05> In a multidatabase system, schematic conflicts between two objects are usually of interest only when the objects have some semantic similarity. We use the concept of<F3.963e+05> semantic<F3.733e+05> proximity, which is essentially an<F3.963e+05> abstraction /mapping<F3.733e+05> between the domains of the two objects associated with the<F3.963e+05> context of<F3.733e+05> comparison.
