Abstract: MARVEL is an architecture for implementing knowledge-based engineering environments that
integrate collections of computerized engineering tools. The architecture uses expert system
technology to automatically carry out many of the menial chores otherwise done by engineering
project personnel. It consists of a knowledge representation language, a translator for the language,
and a database manager that acts as the run-time support for the language. Three implementations
of MARVEL have been... (Update)
