Abstract: Hardware/software codesign in the domain of real-time embedded multiprocessor (MP) signal processing systems is
complex, even when the design options are limited by constraining component options to commercial-off-the-shelf
(COTS) technologies. Easing the design process has been the recent appearance of new tools that support the rapid
prototyping of such systems. These tools should be leveraged to support sound specification modeling to whatever degree
