Abstract:
Adaptive webpages help the user in nding relevant information by tailoring their content and lay-out specic to the visiting user. In this paper we describe Adaplix, a system we implemented to extend HTML by introducing conditional statements. We describe how this system can be extended with an inductive logic programming component to learn the user's browsing preferences. We also report on some preliminary experiments with this learning component. 1
