Abstract:
The Generic header compression project is an attempt to construct a framework for exchange and use of compression algorithms for header (or even data) compression. The goal of the project is to provide a framework where algorithms can be automatically updated and exchanged between peers. These algorithms could then be used in the current session and be stored for future use. Here we present what's been done, some ways of achieving the goal, and some problems and possible solutions.
