Abstract: Current multicast pricing proposals are dependent on specific routing protocols or require changes to the existing IP multicast model. Given that multicast has only seen limited deployment thus far, such schemes may become redundant if the multicast service model changes. We believe that instead of altering multicast delivery methods to suit particular pricing schemes, a multicast pricing scheme should be designed around the generic concept of multipoint communication, without depending on the...
