Abstract: This report is the PVM version 3.3 users' guide and reference manual. It contains an overview of PVM, and how version 3 can be obtained, installed and used. PVM stands for Parallel Virtual Machine. It is a software package that allows a heterogeneous network of parallel and serial computers to appear as a single concurrent computational resource. PVM consists of two parts: a daemon process that any user can install on a machine, and a user library that contains routines for initiating processes ... (Update)
