Abstract:

Friedman and I wrote a paper [10] that argued that the distinguishing characteristic of Aspect-Oriented Programming systems (qua programming systems) is that they provide quantification and obliviousness. In this paper, I expand on the themes of our Minneapolis workshop paper, respond to some of the comments we’ve received on that paper, and provide a computational formalization of the notion of quantification.
