Abstract: This study compares a number of selection regimes for the choosing of a gbest, Ibest and pbest for swarm members in multi-objective particle swarm optimisation (MOPSO). Selection methods are drawn from the recent literature, with new methods based on the recent dominated tree data structure. These are validated using a number of well known 2 objective test functions. Of the 16 MOPSOs compared there is no single clear best method.
