Abstract: This paper describes a software tool, LAPSE (Large Application Parallel Simulation Environment), for the simulation of large-scale programs written for the Intel Paragon, executed on smaller-scale machines. Two timing simulators are themselves parallelized; this paper describes the conservative synchronization algorithm we have developed to synchronize the simulation.
