Abstract: This work presents and analyses a point-to-multipoint GB(N) ARQ protocol with multicopy retransmission that provides buffering memory at the receivers. Its key ideas is to retransmit m copies (m >= 2) of all negatively acknowledged messages as well as to store the good messages following an erroneously received one. It avoids buffer overflows, reduces the effect of the round trip delay and improves significantly the throughput efficiency in high speed environments. The analysis uses a... (Update)
