Abstract: this paper, we present a layered organisation for our agent-based applications. This organisation is derived from analysing the commonalities that are shared by our separate applications. Within this model, we describe an architecture for mobile agents that is suitable for distributed information management applications. From a software engineering perspective, the layered organisation is a recognised method for developing and maintaining large-scale applications and allows the mobile agent... (Update)
