Abstract: The construction of complex systems out of (possibly existing) software components
is one of the crucial issues in the development of modern computer systems. In this
respect, it is becoming more and more evident that the activity of building software
is moving from writing lines of code in some programming language to writing "gluing
" software (in some meta-language) to put existing programs at work together.
To address such an issue, a reasonably simple formalism enjoying firm mathematical... (Update)
