....a KDD process resembles a Software Development Process. In [11] we propose a KDD process framework as an organized society of intelligent agents, with individual KDD algorithms modeled as KDD agents. Based on this framework, a general purpose KDD system called GLS is under development. In [ 12 ] , we describe the mechanisms for KDD process modeling and planning in the GLS system. At this moment GLS includes various KDD techniques developed previously by us, most of them are on the propositional level. Yet GLS is an open system implemented by KAUS. KAUS is a knowledgebased system shell ....
....excluding ILP or CILP methods in GLS. Whenever an ILP or CILP technique is welldeveloped, it can also be modeled as a new KDD agent and embedded into GLS. Note that an ILP or CILP technique may be modeled as a high level agent, consisting of several more detailed steps. The planning mechanism in [ 12 ] can be used to decompose the high level agent. In this context, we need deductive databases, in addition to the relational ones. In the case of CILP, we should also include constraint solving tools in the GLS system. ....
