....Previous work on pencil simulation has not addressed any of these issues. Vermeulen and Tanner [15] introduced a simple pencil model as part of an interactive painting system that does not include a model to handle textured paper and other supplementary drawing materials. Takagi and Fujishiro [14] presented a model for paper microstructure and pigment distribution for colored pencils to be used in digital painting.
