Books with Voices: Paper Transcripts as a Tangible.. - Klemmer, Graham..   (Correct)

....Office. Our experiences reading, doing contextual inquiry, and conducting oral histories led us to develop Books with Voices: bar code augmented paper transcripts enabling fast, random access to digital video interviews on a PDA. Members of the Regional Oral History Office (ROHO) at UC Berkeley [1] participated in our design process. We showed nine different mock ups of bar code augmented oral histories to twelve members of ROHO. They were excited to hear as they read and encouraged us to make our paper book design more usable. We evaluated Books with Voices (see Figure 1 and 2) with 13 ....

An Investigation of Inter-Domain Control Aggregation.. - Sofia, Guérin.. (2002)   (1 citation)  (Correct)

....such as the Internet, there are other factors that might influence state to be kept, such as traffic distribution, or the average duration of reservations. Hence, to understand the behavior of the algorithms under realistic scenarios, we carry out simulations using the network simulator version 2 [14]. We model the arrival of requests as a Poisson process with exponential distributed lifetime mean , and arrival rate of requests per second. To capture the influence of the average duration of requests in the overall state, we use three different types of requests: short lived reservation ....

....as the Internet, there are other factors that might influence state to be kept, such as traffic distribution, or the average duration of reservations. Hence, to understand the behavior of the algorithms under realistic scenarios, we carry out simulations by using the network simulator version 2 [12]. The topologies used to create the various scenarios are generated by BRITE [1] a topology generator with the ability of creating AS level topologies. We model the arrival of requests as a Poisson process with exponential distributed lifetime mean , and arrival rate of requests per second. ....
