....out of bounds accesses. Our framework includes a three stage approach for verification of immutability properties. The focus of verification is on write operations, since immutability properties can only be invalidated by write operations: 1. Ahead of time static analysis: an approach such as [20] is used to identify fields that are guaranteed to be immutable, i.e. fields that can be considered to be final after being initialized. The static analysis can be performed with either closed world or openworld assumptions. All write operations on immutable fields can be ignored in Stages 2 and ....
