More success has been reported in the tracking of pedestrians [23, 16, 19] than in the detection of them [15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22]. This is due to the fact that with tracking you are assuming you have the initial position of the pedestrian and therefore, the search space in the next frame is a region adjacent to the pedestrian positions in the previous frame.
