....semantics gives a concise meaning to current SDL, especially to its model of time. The stream semantics integrates all aspects of SDL, like structure, communications, behaviour and data, and is based on an adequate time concept. There are some other approaches to a formal semantics for SDL, e.g. [1], 21] yet no case studies using the semantics for verification tasks are known to us.
