Abstract: This paper gives a short overview of the Workshop on Component-based Software Engineering - Building Systems from Components held at 9th IEEE Conference and Workshops on Engineering of Computer-Based Systems in Lurid, Sweden, April, 2002. The aim of the workshop was to bring together researches and practitioners from system engineering, software architecture and from component-based software engineering communities in order to exchange experiences and research results from these domains.
