Abstract:

. Domain Architect's view: If you could capture solutions to problems and save them in a recognizable and, if appropriate, reusable form then you would be able to offer those solutions to the next person working on the next problem.. Application Engineer's view: If you were trying to solve a problem with a fixed schedule and budget and someone offered you a notebook of solutions with a table of contents and index then you would probably attempt to find a solution that was close to what you needed.. Customer and their operators view: If you owned a company that needed to upgrade its business practices, e.g. subscription processing, the you would need software just in time to not miss new business opportunities while maintain the current level of service. You would want a solution that fit your needs, was affordable, and was delivered on time.. The information presented in this tutorial is from work in progress and the field in general is immature. 88 n
