Abstract: Since 1988 NASA Langley Research Center has supported a formal methods research group. From its inception, a primary goal of the program has been the transfer of formal methods technology into aerospace industries focusing on applications in commercial air transport. The overall program has been described elsewhere. An up-to-date and extensive account of the program can be found at the NASA Langley Formal Methods Home Page on the World-Wide Web 1 .
