Abstract: The design of the Internet Protocol version 6 has been initiated by the coming exhaustion of the IPv4 address space. But IPv6 also offers number of enhancements to the existing IP protocol. Most of them are experimented today by research labs and networking software and hardware manufacturers. As Internet engineers progressively agree upon a wider and wider range of the protocol specifications, some of them remain very vague, and it is not clear now how they will be exploited in practice, and...
