Abstract: this paper as being the primary cause of modeling error; however, for the validation data used to make this conclusion, the effect of tire lag cannot be separated from actuator dynamics. The authors do note that inclusion of tire dynamics in the linear model results in a linear model that is seemingly valid up to 0.6 g's. Historically, the question of how well the bicycle model matches measured vehicle responses has been questioned. It is easy to confirm that the model accurately predicts the... (Update)
