Abstract: nterface. The system would also provide a mechanism for invoking these methods. Extensibility would be one of the hallmarks of such an operating system. New functionality would be supported by adding new objects, or groups of objects. This would have the advantage that the user could select only those functions needed for the application at hand: functionality could be added and removed dynamically. Or so we thought during the period 1981-1985. It is clear that object-oriented operating... (Update)
