Abstract: Extensions to the Berkeley Continuous Media Toolkit (CMT) are described that support video editing. These extensions were used to develop a Continuous Media Editor (CMEdit). The editor operates on and produces CMMovies that organize digital video and audio material into linear presentations. This source material can be located on remote servers or on a local machine.
