Describes implementation of a constraint language within an object-oriented system.
Abstract: A constraints language, built on the top of an object system is described. Constraints are arranged in a hierarchy and they represent prototypes of constraint-arcs, which are defined intensionally by an assertional language. Preprocessing techniques are exploited and a variety of algorithms are used to find solutions both inferred and allowed by the constraint-arcs. The "Eight Queens" problem is used in the paper as example. (Update)
