Abstract:

Abstract. Normally a society of agents is developed to cope with and solve a particular set of problems or to achieve some particular goals and objectives. Different people, organizations and groups have developed and deployed agent societies for their own particular needs. These societies have to communicate, coordinate and compete with each other. In this paper an explanation is provided as to what is meant by inter society communication in agents, why it is needed and some basic problems in the area of inter-society communication are identified. A framework for inter-society communication in agent systems is also proposed. 1
