Abstract:

This paper summarises recent work in the area of point pattern matching and introduces a new approach to the more general problem of point pattern recognition. The new technique developed by the authors is invariant to rotational, scaling and translational transformations, and is optionally reflection invariant. The techniques presented are compared, and specific applications are described. 1
