Abstract: The IEEE 802.15.3 medium access control (MAC) protocol is an emerging standard for high bit-rate wireless personal area networks, specifically for supporting high quality multimedia streams. To date there are no published work on the performance of the IEEE 802.15.3 MAC with respect to some of its configurable parameters and there has been no work related to simulation of the MAC using the popular ns-2 simulator.
