Abstract: I argue that the notions of knowledge, rationality and action form a natural and interesting triple when studying agent systems: first of all, the combination and interplay between them is still not fully explored, and secondly, they give rise to rich theories especially in multi-agent systems. The paper provides an informal overview of formal approaches to the three notions. (Update)
