Abstract: Introduction In the physical world, rectilinear motion seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Every piece of matter, be it macro---or microscopic, interacts with all other pieces of matter and, therefore, its motion will be non-uniform and, as a rule, non-linear. One cannot but wonder about the profound intuition of the ancient Greeks who always saw rotational motion as fundamental and ubiquitous. The reference frames to which the i nvestigated motions are referred, are themselves... (Update)
