Abstract: In this paper we introduce the concept of service-based modeling and integrate the modeling techniques into existing development processes. We focus on services in the different phases of the modeling and introduce appropriate models as well as suitable notations. A small example from the automotive domain is used throughout the paper to illustrate the approach. (Update)
