Abstract: MorphologS'S operations are simple mathematical constructs, which have led to e#ective solution for many problems in imag process ing and computer vision. These solutions employ discrete operators and are applied to dig1 izedimag1O The mathematics behind the morpho log8" operators also exists in the continuous domain, the domain where the imag9 came from. We observed that the discrete operators cannot reproduce the results obtained by the continuous operators. The reason for this is that... (Update)
