Abstract: Ontologies in current computer science parlance are computer based resources that represent agreed domain semantics. This paper first introduces ontologies in general and subsequently, in particular, shortly outlines the DOGMA ontology engineering approach that separates "atomic" conceptual relations from "predicative" domain rules.
