Abstract: Clusters of workstations are rapidly becoming the order of the day for supporting high-performance, computationally-intensive parallel applications in the eld of parallel computing. Their performance is on the rise and they provide a cheaper and more viable alternative to multiprocessor systems and supercomputers.
