Abstract: In this paper, we analyze the tradeo# between receiver implementation complexity and system performance for multimedia CDMA systems. While using multiuser receivers greatly enhances the system performance, implementation for bursty multimedia tra#c requires frequent filter coe#cient updates thus substantially increasing the implementation complexity. As a tradeo#, we analyze reduced complexity CDMA systems in which real-time services use matched filters and non real-time tra#c employs multiuser ... (Update)
