Abstract: This paper gives basic definitions of f-calculus. f-calculus is a variant of -calculus which represents functional computation with shared environments. The formalism has a Church Rosser property and enjoys the universal computing power so that it can be regarded as a selfcontained functional calculus. Basic construction of the formalism and some of main results are presented together with suggestions for its possible applications. (Update)
