Abstract: Recently, the authors presented a first-order discrete-time nonlinear dynamic model for a simplified TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) network with RED (Random Early Detection) control, and numerically studied the nonlinear dynamics of the system. In this paper a simple real time control using washout filter is proposed to modify the existing RED scheme to enhance the stability of the operating point.
