VIDEO INDEXING USING WATERMARKING TECHNIQUE
Abstract:
Embedding information into video data is a topic that recently gained increasing attention. In this paper we present a scheme for robust watermarking insertion of original video sequence. With this approach we make our scheme more general to any kind of process (coder, level of compression) that the video sequence should be suffer. The scheme has been implemented and first results show that a robust watermark can be embedded into video sequence, and its extraction is possible after a low bit-rate coding. The proposed technique can be used in two ways: media indexing (e.g. to build news services merging different source) and copyright protection (e.g. used in transmission of video clip on the web). Our test highlights the robustness against MPEG4 compression and sub-sampling, both spatial and temporal.
