Abstract: The goal of the COAST project is to establish a long-term research program exploringnew approaches to computer security and computer system management. The principal focus will be on techniques and tools for common, non-trusted (in the DoD TCSEC, "Orange Book" sense) systems, including legacy systems in wide-spread use. The project includes establishment of a laboratory dedicated to this research and the development of educational materials. We intend for the research to be broad-based and to... (Update)
