Abstract: Parallel link mechanisms are increasingly being studied for possible use in multi-axis machine tools. An important consideration in the design of such mechanisms is their accuracy. This paper will address the associated quasistatic errors in the Stewart Platform based machine tool and will give methods of estimating these errors.
